Sage McKinley and Jesse Wakeman began dreaming of making fresh, specialty coffee accessible to their small community in the Northwestern Catskills after falling in love with the art of roasting coffee throughout their extra time spent at home during the pandemic.
The dream came alive when we purchased MacDonald Hose Station #2, a historic firehouse on the outskirts of town in Sidney, NY. This became the location of our roastery and flagship cafe.
We prioritize freshness and quality not only in our coffee, but also in our food offerings. We strive to use local products whenever possible to ensure fresh and delicious options while also supporting fellow small businesses in the area.
In November of 2023, we opened a second cafe location, partnering with three other local businesses— Muddy River Farm Brewery, Ty’s Taco-ria and Tinkertown Provisions— to create a collaborative space in West End Oneonta, NY.
